Jeffrey Herman, Esq.
Jeffrey Herman is a practicing attorney licensed in California since 2013 and he holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Queens College. He has worked in the realm of Intellectual Property since 2009 and has drafted more than 250 patent applications in his career. Additionally, Jeffrey Herman has experience with U.S. and international trademarks, licensing of intellectual property rights, and website domain disputes under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy.
As the managing attorney for APEX, Jeffrey oversees all areas of the practice. He works closely with clients interested in developing and protecting emerging brand names by thoughtfully guiding them through the trademark process. He also provides clever and creative solutions to monetize his clients’ intellectual property rights and is available for license and assignment negotiations.
Lori Woodward, Esq.
Lori Woodward is a practicing Registered Patent Attorney, first admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in the year 2010.
In 2006, she earned a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School with a Certificate in Intellectual Property. She was admitted to practice law in California in 2007. She expanded her admission to the Arizona State Bar in 2010 when she moved back home to her family. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California State University at Fullerton.
Lori Woodward has several years of experience preparing, filing, and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent and trademark applications. She also consults with clients to protect the property rights of their inventions.

Kevin Higgins
A New Englander, Kevin Higgins moved to Arizona in 2000, where he graduated from Arizona State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s in political science. Thereafter, Kevin graduated from Arizona Summit Law School in 2018, earning his Juris Doctor and passing the Arizona bar.
Kevin has been providing exceptional patent consulting work for APEX since 2017, working on patent searches as well as drafting provisional and utility patent applications. He looks forward to continuing his work with APEX and providing great service for any patent needs.
